We are delighted to announce the launch of the Response DB1R (Ribbon Tweeter), which was unveiled to the public for the very first time at the 2026 Bristol Hi-Fi Show.
The Response DB1R builds on the outstanding reputation of ProAc’s top-of-the-range compact stand-mount loudspeaker, the Response DB1. Retaining all the musicality, balance and refinement that have made the DB1 so highly regarded, the new DB1R takes performance to the next level with the introduction of ProAc’s ribbon tweeter technology.
The ribbon tweeter, lighter than a human hair, features rear-chamber damping and an alnico magnet, delivering exceptional high-frequency detail, speed and transparency. This tweeter design has proved hugely popular in other Response models and now finds its place in ProAc’s most compact format to date.
The DB1R is the smallest loudspeaker in the ProAc range ever to be offered with a ribbon tweeter.

Production of the DB1R will begin in May 2026.
